vivo’s X500 Series Debuts in Vietnam as Concert Fancam Phone

vivo has debuted the X500 and X500 Pro Max in Vietnam, led by a 200MP ZEISS APO telephoto and a 400mm-equivalent lens, as its concert fancam phone.

Vietnamese concertgoers got an early hands-on with vivo’s new X500 and X500 Pro Max on October 17, 2026, at The Global City in Ho Chi Minh City, where the phones were showcased during the Anh Trai Vuot Ngan Chong Gai 2026 (ATVNCG 2026) concert. The company positions the series as “The Concert Fancam Phone,” built for fans who film performances from their seats.

The flagship X500 Pro Max features a 200MP ZEISS APO telephoto camera with professional-grade stabilization certified to the CIPA 7.0 standard, according to vivo. The company says the pairing keeps framing steady at high zoom. At that range, even a small hand movement can typically compromise a shot of a performer’s expression or choreography.

For longer reach, the Pro Max accepts the vivo ZEISS Gen 2 Ultra telephoto extender lens, which provides an equivalent focal length of 400mm. vivo says the accessory lets users take close-up shots from distant seats without changing position, a constraint many concertgoers often experience when filming from arena seats.

Stage Mode 3.0 on the Pro Max adds subject tracking lock, which identifies and follows a selected performer. Stage video on the Pro Max uses autofocus tracking to keep performers sharp as they move or formations change, according to vivo.

Both models offer Fancam Video with automatic framing, which tracks the performer and adjusts composition automatically. Users can choose from three framing options, full body, half body, and close-up. Stage Mode 3.0 also offers a 4K cinematic color video mode and a super-telephoto stage snapshot feature, according to vivo.

The main camera on the X500 Pro Max features a ZEISS TrueDynamic imaging system built around the vivo x Sony LYTIA L910 sensor. Its dynamic range reaches 17 EV, according to vivo. The company says the wider range helps preserve detail in brightly lit faces and dark backgrounds alike, a challenge often cited in concert photography. The standard X500 uses a pro-grade ZEISS low-light camera with the vivo x Sony LYTIA 828 sensor.

All photographs published with this story were captured on an X500 Pro Max at the experience zone, according to vivo. There, visitors could mount the extender lens and camera grip on display units and test the stage features under real event conditions.

Pre-orders for the X500 Series will be accepted at Mobile World, one of Vietnam’s largest electronics retail chains, from October 20 to November 7, 2026. According to vivo, the launch package is worth up to VND 18 million in total benefits. It includes discounts of up to VND 7 million, zero-percent installment payments with no down payment, and a 24-month warranty. It also includes 12 months of insurance covering the back panel and camera for accidental drops.

The package also includes trade-in support of up to VND 3 million and three months of Google AI Pro bundled with 5TB of cloud storage. Early pre-order customers can also receive one of 60 limited-edition gift sets, vivo says. The company has not announced Vietnam pricing for the two phones in its launch materials.
